

Kara Haug is founder and partner of Reframing our Stories, a Sacramento-based, woman owned, small business dedicated to providing education, resources and tools for families and communities to normalize conversations around sex and relationships. Her goal is to remove shame and reframe our stories to promote openness, acceptance and a positive sense of self. She provides education and facilitates discussions in homes, schools, churches and with community groups domestically and abroad. Areas of expertise include: human sexuality, women’s health, puberty, relationships, consent, gender, identity, shame, grief, loss and trauma. Kara is an AASECT certified sexuality health educator with 20+ years of experience working as an educator, counselor, foster care licensor, youth minister, and group home resident assistant. Kara also has her own podcast, Reframing our Stories: The Podcast that explores the stories we have had to reframe for ourselves around sexuality, religion, race, grief, and or joy.
