The Rev. Angela Denker is an ELCA pastor who serves Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church in Minneapolis as Pastor of Visitation and Public Theology.

Angela is a former sportswriter turned Lutheran pastor, writer, speaker–and wife and mom of two boys–based in Minneapolis,  She has written for various publications, including Minnesota Star Tribune, The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, The Christian Century, and Living Lutheran.

Her latest book is Disciples of White Jesus: The Radicalization of American Boyhood (Broadleaf Books, 2025). Her first book is Red State Christians: Understanding the Voters Who Elected Donald Trump (Fortress Press, 2019). Both are available wherever books are sold. Denker blogs on Substack at I’m Listening.
