Bishop Curry at the Festival of Homiletics, 2023

The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry delivered this sermon Tuesday, May 16, at the Festival of Homiletics. Titled “We Shall Overcome,” the presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church preached on John 13:31-35 and John 16:31-33 about abiding in the love of Christ. With humor, anecdotes from the pandemic, Jimi Hendrix, and references to the royal wedding when he preached, Bishop Curry proclaims what kind of love Jesus means. If Jesus has overcome the tribulations of this world with love, we too can overcome.
