A book for those full of questions

“I’m reading Sue Monk Kidd’s When the Heart Waits because I’ve opened my heart to all the questions that this time is raising with regard to my gifts and my call. From the beginning of the book, Kidd refers to Abba Moses’ recommendation that in order to find spiritual growth, [you must] ‘go sit in your cell and it will teach you everything.’ The book was published in 1990 but its direction for the spirit is so perfect for such a time as this.”

From the book:

“Somehow we’ve lost this important secret in the spiritual life–that in ‘stayed-ness,’ as George Fox called it, we find the realm for transformation.”
